The striker also praised Atletico Madrid's young players, who showed 'great maturity' in the shoot-out

Fernando Torres, one of Atletico's on-target penalty takers in their Champions League win over PSV was very happy to help his side reach the quarter-finals of the competition. 

"We are tired, but now happy and calmer. To be in the next round of the Champions League should make the fans very proud of what we have done."

El Nino said he had no doubts he would score his penalty in the shoot-out.

"I went decisively, because in my head I could only see a goal happening. The team showed personality in the shoot-out, including the young players, who had maturity, because we did it very well, without any misses."
